We are thrilled to announce that Kili Studio is expanding! After years of growing demand and a commitment to being East Africa's premier recording facility, we are investing in a major upgrade that will double our capacity and capabilities.

New Live Room

Our new live room will be 40 square meters with variable acoustics — adjustable panels that let us tune the room from dry and tight to open and ambient. This space will accommodate full bands, drum tracking, string sections, and choir recording.

Additional Isolation Booths

We are adding two more isolation booths, bringing our total to four. This means we can record a full band simultaneously with each musician in their own isolated space, reducing bleed and giving us maximum control in the mix.

Upgraded Monitoring

Our main control room is getting an upgrade to Genelec 8361A Smart Active Monitors with GLM calibration. Combined with our existing Adam Audio S3V system, we will have two world-class monitoring setups for mixing and mastering.

New Outboard Gear

We are adding an SSL Fusion, Manley Massive Passive EQ, and Burl B32 Vancouver converter to our hardware collection. These pieces will enhance our hybrid workflow and give us even more tonal options for mixing and mastering.

Timeline

Construction begins in January 2025, with the new spaces expected to be operational by April 2025. Our existing studios will remain fully operational throughout the expansion — no interruptions to current bookings.

What This Means for You

More availability, more options, and even better sound. Whether you are recording a single or an entire album, our expanded facility will provide everything you need under one roof. We cannot wait to welcome you to the new Kili Studio.

Stay tuned for updates as the expansion progresses. Follow us on social media for behind-the-scenes content of the build-out.
